The Technology Strategy Board has announced two new calls:
These are small grants (£25k) for companies to undertake short feasibility studies
The closing date for registering intention to submit an application is 24th September
The closing date for applications is 1st October
Over 60 people attended the Next Generation Broandband Access event and took part in workshop groups giving the audience to discuss the future for broadband services in five different themed areas: smart home environment, intelligent transport, future business, creative industries, and the digitally connected region.
There were two keynote presentations : Ian Vance from Amazing Communications: How to deliver 10Gbit/s...or perhaps not ? and The User Perspective : by Stephen Hilton. Philip Hargrave, the CEO of the DCKTN chaired the event.
